Pie Eating Contest

Think you've got what it takes?

Do you love pie?  Do you think you can eat pie faster than everyone else? 

Do you want to win  $300, a championship belt, and ultimate bragging rights?

Then register for the First-Ever Livingston Pie Eating Contest, held during the Livingston Bluegrass Festival.

WHO: Any pie lovers 13 years or older 

WHAT: Be the first contestant to eat an entire pie down to the tin! Contestants will compete in preliminary heats with the
‍ ‍top two contestants from each heat advancing to the championship round. 

WHERE: The Henry E. Blake Pavilion’s Stage at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts, 415 E. Lewis St. Livingston, MT 

WHEN: Saturday, September 19 at 4PM - Check-In at 3:30PM 

Registration Deadline - Friday, September 18 at 4PM
Entry Fee: $10
Your registration and participation also includes admission to the evening Bluegrass Festival performances -

Contest Rules

  • Contestants must check in at least 30 minutes prior to the contest to receive their heat assignment. 

  • Contestants may not use their hands to eat the pie and may not touch or begin eating their pie until the official start signal. 

  • Contestants must remain at their table during the competition. 

  • Spitting out pie or intentionally discarding pie will result in disqualification. 

  • Any contestant who appears ill before or during the competition may be disqualified at the discretion of contest officials. 

  • Contestants who fail to follow contest rules or instructions from officials may be disqualified. 

  • Contestants must have swallowed all food in their mouth before their pie is judged. 

  • If two contestants have not finished their pie within the five-minute time limit, advancement will be determined by the amount of pie consumed, as determined by the judges.  

  • In the event of a tie, judges may conduct a tiebreaker round or use another method they determine appropriate. All judges' decisions are final. 

If you are unable to attend after registering, please notify us as soon as possible so we may offer your spot to another participant.
