MEET THE CAST OF THE LIGHTNING THIEF


ANDERSON CHUN

Luke

Anderson is an 8th grader at St. Mary’s and is thrilled to be joining this cast in his first Teen Theatre production. Anderson took his first bow in the Young Actors Workshop production of Seussical. Since then, his favorite theatrical memory has been playing Scar in The Lion King, a role that allowed him to bring one of his favorite childhood movies to life on stage. Other past credits include Oliver, Grease, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen.  

KAYLEIGH COOK

Annabeth

A 9th grader at Park High, Kayleigh is ready to make her Shane Center debut! She was inspired to audition by her sister who has participated in many Young Actors’ Workshops. Despite this being her first appearance on the Dulcie stage, Kayleigh has always had profound love for singing and acting. When she isn’t performing in the theater or singing in choir with Mrs. Petry, Kayleigh can be found hitting the slopes with friends. 

ELLIE AMES

Salena Beauregard

Ellie is overjoyed to be back on the Shane Center stage for her final performance before graduation. She first appeared onstage in Mary Poppins at age six. Previous credits include Matilda, Something Rotten, Big River, and Grease. This fall, she heads to Missoula to attended University of Montana as a Theatre major. When she’s not at the theater, Ellie enjoys hiking and rafting down the Yellowstone River. 

BRAYLON WINDHAM

Grover

Braylon first appeared on stage at six years old in a production of Snow White. Since then, he’s been in countless Young Actors’ Workshops, though you may remember him best as Pumba in last summer’s production of The Lion King. Braylon’s favorite past role was Sonny in the Teen Theatre production of Grease. An 11th grader at Park High, Braylon enjoys singing in choir and playing card games when he’s not on stage. 

SOPHIA ROGERS

Clarisse

Sophia has loved theatre and performance since she was just six years old. A 10th grader at Park High, Sophia has appeared in many productions including Matilda, Music Man, Grease, Something Rotten, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and more! Her favorite past role was Tiger Lily in a production of Peter Pan because she got to do a fun song with her friend, Riley. When she’s not on stage, Sophia loves getting out into nature. 

XANDER BECNEL

Percy Jackson

An 11th grader at Park High, Xander has found a true creative outlet to grow and make mistakes at the Shane Center. His deep love for the organization started when he was just seven years old performing in a Young Actors’ Workshop production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. His favorite role was Danny in Grease because it is such an instantly recognizable and fun character. Get ready for high energy show! 

OLIVER SCHAD

Mr. Brunner/Chiron

Oliver loves Greek Gods and all things musicals, so he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to audition for this production. Favorite past productions include Peter Pan, where he played the wonderfully funny Tic Toc Crock, The Lion King, Broadway Returns, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Robin Hood. A 10th grader at Park High, Oliver also enjoys Chemistry and playing Dungeons and Dragons. 

KIERRIA HEROLD

Mrs. Dodds

Kierria was highly encouraged to audition for this production, and she is so glad she did (especially because she gets to wear demon wings). Originally from Louisiana, Kierria’s first Shane Center production was Something Rotten. Her favorite role was Cha-Cha in Grease because she was the best dancer, of course! Other past credits include Oliver!, My Fair Lady, Devised Theatre Initiative, Past, Present, and Beyond, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. 

IVY BLEU GAISFORD

Sister Fury #1

An 11th grade home schoolstudent, Ivy Bleu loves the Percy Jackson books and acting at the Shane Center. Ivy Bleu first appeared on stage in Pinocchio, and has since performed in productions of Something Rotten, Cindy Lou, Robin Hood, and The Wizard of Oz. Her favorite by far was Grease because of the costumes, choreography, and fun. Outside of theatre, Ivy Bleu enjoys sewing, archery, and singing with the Living Hope Church. 

SAVANNAH WEHRI

Sister Fury #2

Savannah feels grateful to get to be in this production, and to be more involved in theatre. A 10th grade homeschool student, Savannah loves art and hanging out with everyone at the Shane Center. Some favorite past shows include Past, Present, and Beyond, The Lion King, Devised Theatre Initiative, Cindy Lou, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Her favorite and most loved role, however, was Friar Tuck in Robin Hood. 

GISELLE HEROLD

Sally Jackson

An 11th grade homeschool student, Giselle is excited to meet new people and grow existing friendships in this production. She first appeared on stage alongside her siblings in Oliver!, and since then has performed in My Fair Lady, Grease, Past, Present and Beyond, Robin Hood, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Devised Theatre Initiative, and Frozen. Giselle’s favorite past role was Shenzi in The Lion King where she got to act alongside dear friends. 

JAXTER GRAHAM

POSEIDAN

Ever since his first and only performance as Jupiter in School House Rock when he was eleven, Jaxter has been wanting to try theatre again. He is so excited to get that chance in this production. Jaxter is most looking forward to singing and hanging out with his friends, old and new. An 11th grader at The Way Christian School, he enjoys web design and coding, card magic, skiing, and playing the piano. 

MAX OLSEN

Mr. D

Max first appeared on stage in the Young Actors’ Workshop production of Broadway Returns when he was nine years old. Since then, his love for the Shane Center has only grown, and he can’t wait for this production. Max’s favorite past role was Bruce in Matilda. Max has also performed in Music Man, Oliver!, Grease, and countless Young Actors’ Workshops. Outside of theatre, Max enjoys choir, track, swimming, and skiing. 

CALLIE DAVIS

Katie Gardner

Calli couldn’t imagine missing auditions for her last Teen Theatre production at the Shane Center. Since her first theatrical experience, Calli has been in countless shows, including Once On this Island, Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz, Matilda, Band Geeks, Suessical, Something Rotten, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more. Her favorite role was Marty in Grease because the character fit her well. Outside of theatre, Calli enjoys all things to do with cats.

RILEY DENNISTON

Squirrel

A 10th grader at Park High School, Riley participates in every single Shane Center production she possibly can. A seasoned performer, Riley appeared in her first Community Theatre production, Evita, when she was five years old. Her favorite theatre memory was playing Timon in The Lion King, a long-time dream role. Other past credits include Grease, Something Rotten, Shrek the Musical, The Wildest West Show Ever, and Peter Pan. 

MAGGIE TAYLOR

Aunty Em aka Medusa

A true techie at the Shane Center, Maggie is excited to once again step out from behind the curtain to perform on stage. Past performances include Peter Pan; Past, Present, and Beyond; The Lion King, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Maggie’s favorite role was a Nerd in Grease because it was such a fun show. An 11th grader at Park High, Maggie loves operating the lightning for productions, creating art, bowling, and hanging out with friends. 

JASPER JOHNSTONE

Newscaster

A Percy Jackson fan since he was very young, Jasper can’t wait to be a part of this production. Jasper made his first stage appearance in Something Rotten, and has since been in productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver!, Devised Theatre Initiative, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Grease, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and more. Outside of theatre, Jasper is passionate about Autocad and 3D Printing. 

DEBBIE DAVIS

Echidna

Not only does Debbie love theatre, she loves auditioning for productions! She participated in her first production, Alice in Wonderland, when she was eight years old. Playing Lavender in Matilda was the most fun and her favorite role so far. Debbie has also appeared in Aladdin, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A 9th grader at Park High, Debbie also enjoys wood working and working with tools. 

EMMETT SHANNON-LIER

Ares

Emmett first stepped into the world of theatre last year when he participated in the Devised Theatre Initiative’s production of Timeless Perception. No stranger to music, Emmett plays the drums in a Jazz Trio around town when he’s not on stage or in school. He loves singing, dancing, playing instruments, and acting like something he’s not. It’s no wonder he has found his place on stage. Here’s to this production being one of many! 

AUSTYNN HICKS

Bianca

Austynn loves acting, singing, dancing, and being a part of the Shane Center community, so she’s so excited for this production and this cast. Her first appearance on stage was in a Young Actors’ Workshop production of Annie. Austynn’s favorite production was Matilda because the show, the set, and the cast were all absolutely rad. Outside of theatre, Austynn enjoys singing in the Park High Chamber Choir and anything true crime. 

TYLER SCHAD

Kronos

Tyler is eager to portray such an interesting character from a great piece of mythology in this production. He got his start on stage in a Young Actors’ Workshop production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and has since then performed in many education productions. His favorite role was Tommy in Matilda, and he’ll treasure the memories from that show forever. He is ready to challenge himself further and grow as a performer. 

DAISY DOOLITTLE

Thalia

An 8th grader at Pine Creek School, Daisy is elated to make her Teen Theatre debut in this production. Her first moment on stage came when she was just five years old in a production of Snow White. This winter, Daisy was lucky enough to get to play her dream role, Elsa, in a Young Actors’ Workshop production of Frozen. Some other credits include The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Oliver! 

ONYX JOHNSTONE

Charon

Onyx is bittersweetly preparing for their final performance before graduation. Now a theater buff, Onyx first stepped onto the stage at age 15 in The Wizard of Oz. Since then, their theatrical journey has included credits in Oliver!, Grease, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Out of all their experiences, playing Rafiki in The Lion King remains a standout favorite, specifically for its incredible music.  

JUSTIN STERN

DJ Cerberus

A 12th grader at Park High, Justin is thrilled to be taking the stage for a production that perfectly matches his favorite subjects: mythology and folklore. Justin’s past credits include Something Rotten, Oliver!, Grease, and Band Geeks, and multiple productions of the Devised Theatre Initiative. An avid lover of theatre, he is excited to combine his love for the stage with his interest in ancient legends for this performance! 

FINN HARRISON

Hades

Finn is overjoyed to get to delve into such a deep character in mythology. Some past performances include Devised Theatre Initiative, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Alice in Wonderland, Cindy Lou, Treasure Island, The Wildest West Show Ever, The Wizard of Oz, and Seussical. His favorite role was Lord Clapham in Something Rotten. A 12th grader at Park High, Finn enjoys mathematics, being tall, and coding.
