Concessions Caboose grand opening
“It’s truly humbling to stand in this space—under this pavilion, beside this beautiful caboose—and realize that what once lived only as an idea, a sketch, or a conversation … is now a tangible reality. This moment is a perfect example of what happens when community comes together around a shared dream.”
- Erika Adams, Executive Director
Last Thursday, June 5th, the Shane Center unveiled the brand new Concessions Caboose before the kickoff of the SUMMER OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES. Just this past January, Erika Adams and Kate Britton (Development Director), pitched an idea to a group of State Farm agents—an idea for a concessions caboose that could support their programming and help bring people together in new ways. Not even five months later, here they are. The Shane Center is honored and thrilled that this group of local State Farm Agents have made an incredible investment that helped make the caboose a reality and continue to fuel expansion.
We’d like to recognize and thank each of the agents who made this possible:
Sarah Skofield, Dan Rust, Brad Daws, Dusty Daws, Jeff Weedin, Larry Bitterman, Bethany Lentz, Ty Elliot, and Daniel Corbin. These fine folks’ belief in the Shane Center’s mission—to strengthen community through participation in the arts—means everything.
A special thank you also to Russell Lewis, who has poured hundreds of hours into building this caboose by hand. His dedication is stamped into every detail. And of course, thank you to Western Glass, Andrew Reichert, Ethan Leuzinger, and every member of the incredible Shane Center team who helped bring this vision to life.
Contributions like this don’t just help to maintain what we’ve built—they help us grow. They allow us to dream bigger, reach farther, and welcome even more people into the work we do.
