NOON NOTES, a multi-generational program for students and community. We welcome all ages to discover and explore the fascinating range of Chamber Music through our free educational concerts each month from October through May (except no January program), held at the Bozeman Public Library Community Room and the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts. The interaction between audience and musicians, exchange of ideas, reactions, information about the instruments or voices used, and historical perspectives about composers' intentions and emotions that music evokes are all designed to bring us together in joy through the beauty of music.
This October, join us for a FREE hour-long education concert featuring Wendy Bickford and Tomomi Sato.
Professor Wendy Bickford is a former clarinetist with "The President’s Own" United States Marine Band in Washington, D.C, serving under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. In addition to performing concerts, White House events, national concert tours and funerals at Arlington National Cemetery, she performed as a soloist and chamber musician and gave masterclasses as well as participated in several educational outreach initiatives across the United States.
Japanese pianist Tomomi Sato enjoys a diverse career as a performing artist, curator, and educator. A prizewinner of 2013 Seattle International Piano Competition, she has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Los Angeles Bach Festival Orchestra, The Orchestra San Antonio, Bellflower Symphony Orchestra, and Concerto Chamber Orchestra. As a solo and collaborative recitalist, she has taken stages throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
