Livingston film series: licorice pizza

Licorice Pizza (written and dir. by Paul Thomas Anderson) is the story of growing up, running around, and navigating young love in Encino, Los Angeles. Gary (newcomer Cooper Hoffman), a 15-year-old former child actor branching out bullishly into entrepreneurship, falls for Alana (Alana Haim) — a woman a decade his senior. The two platonic pair sail together through a series of comic misadventures and run-ins with Hollywood crazies in the mid-’70s.

Doors open at 6:30; screenings begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted. Concessions available. UV air filtration in effect.

Livingston Film Series is generously sponsored by Marilyn Clotz & Mary Ann Bearden and Donald B. Gimbel.
